This privacy policy covers the website The Vibe Upgrade and our Pinterest publishing application, The Vibe Upgrade Publisher. The short version: this is a small content-curation project, we collect as little as possible, and we never sell data.
1. Who we are
The Vibe Upgrade is a content-curation project publishing home-decor and wellness product ideas to our own Pinterest account, @thevibeupgrade. You can contact us at markschectman@gmail.com.
2. What this website collects
Nothing, actively. This site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comments, no newsletter, and sets no cookies of its own. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operational purposes.
3. What our Pinterest application does
The Vibe Upgrade Publisher is a tool we use internally to schedule and publish pins to boards on our own Pinterest account. Specifically, it:
- Authenticates only to our own Pinterest business account using Pinterest's official OAuth 2.0 flow — it never collects, stores, or asks for Pinterest usernames, passwords, or session cookies;
- Creates pins on boards we own, using product descriptions we write;
- Reads only our own account's board list and pin metadata to avoid publishing duplicates;
- Does not access, collect, or process any data about other Pinterest users;
- Does not scrape Pinterest or use the API to gather content from the platform.
OAuth tokens are stored privately on our own equipment and are never shared with third parties. The application has no users other than us — it is not offered as a service to anyone else.
4. Affiliate links
Pins and pages we publish may contain affiliate links (for example, Amazon Associates or Impact-network retailers). If you click one, the destination site may set cookies to attribute a purchase. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we do not receive personal information about you from these programs — only aggregate, anonymized commission reporting. See our affiliate disclosure.
5. Third-party services
We use a small number of infrastructure services to operate: web hosting (Cloudflare), image hosting (Cloudinary), and stock photography (Unsplash). These process the content we publish, not visitor data.
6. Data retention and your rights
Because we don't collect personal data from visitors, there is generally nothing for us to retain, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold any personal information about you, email us at markschectman@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
This site and our Pinterest content are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
